A New War?

The Telegraph recently sent its defense editor to Kosovo to shoot a video with the alarming title “Could Kosovo be the next Ukraine?” The trailer caused much controversy on social media owing to defense editor Danielle Sheridan’s attire in it: she was dressed in green fatigues, with gloves (an especially bizarre touch), and what looked like some kind of tactical or bulletproof vest. However, in the full-length video, (clocking in at nearly 17 minutes) we learn that the national guard in Kosovo instructed Sheridan and her crew to wear the fatigues while out on patrol with them. Even so, images of a foreign correspondent in military gear in the Balkans did not sit well with many viewers, because Kosovo is not a warzone. The video suggested that a new war was imminent.
